Before & After Jacket REinvent

I planned on showing you Andis Jacket REinvention a while back

I even took a before photo

which for those familiar with my REinventions will know
that never happens.

Andi and I both own the Junky Styling Book.

Andi was keen to have a go at the UD Jacket which is demonstrated in the book

and came to class armed with this

 which we transformed into this

Not a diffcult REinvent
however not a REinvention for the faint-hearted.
Once the wheels were in motion & the journey underway
Andi completed this on her own at home
and from all reports is very happy with the outcome
even if it's a little chunky for our climate.

Now I feel I need to clarify something

REinventing is much more than sewing or chopping stuff up...
it is tapping into
the innate well of creativity & style you have hidden under layers of life

we don't use books in REinventing workshops
our creations evolve from a combination of personality & product
it is important to me
that your REinventing experience enables & empowers you to create & dress yourself in the most comfortable way for you
and from my 30yrs experience this doesn't come out of a book

you can be inspired by what others do

to be motivated to make it your own

and by acknowledging the source of inspiration

no ones ethics are compromised

and the creative cycle of sharing & caring remains intact.

  1. WOW that is a fabulous reinvent - great for Canberra :) Sometimes the clothes themselves start the reinvention once you start unpicking seams and hacking away... sometimes you might end up with a lovely top or a couple of hankies lol :D
