It's always fun to look back at what's been created during the REtreat - it's amazing how diverse the similarities are and I wonder why I take the photos on a right sloping angle?

Woops missed one!

(Julies Tie Collar)

I still get a kick out of others thinking this is a good idea!

Thanks Girls.

The Green Team hit Busselton for the 2nd REinventing REtreat!

It's not easy being green
but someones got to do it
(The Green Team - Jeanette, Sue, Jody, Edda, Julie, Denise)

Busselton really turned it on for the 2nd REinventing REtreat!
Every day we were greeted with blue skies & warm days, gardens exploding with colour,
op shops full of treasure and friendly helpful locals.

There was no mucking around - these girls knew why they were here and
as soon as vehicles were unpacked, sewing machines were humming.
Some stayed up later than others but all were ready next morning for the Op shop Tour,
excited & enthusiastic and armed with shopping lists!

Some things can be avoided when Op shopping for REinventing, Change Rooms for one
but queues occasionally can't and neither can the urge to purchase mens ties and denim.

I don't think I'm one of those whip cracking Militant Op shop Tour Guides who only allows a certain amount of time in each shop or who insists everyone go to the toilet at the same time - we did stop for a snack & a sit down half way round however after walking for 5hrs, having visited 7 of the 8 Op Shops, another quick sit was permitted.

With Stage 1 of our Mission accomplished, we headed home for some serious show & tell
before getting those sewing machines humming again!

Julie managed to find more that just clothes - she scored this brass & painted porcelain bed head
for a song which Denise the packing queen managed to fit in the vehicle along with 3 adults and more stuff than they arrived with.

I wished I'd room for this box of sadness...

and the skills to REinvent a box full of dead dolls.

Show & Tell is very important
because it gives us all a chance to catch our breathe, show off our treasure & grab a bite before launching into creating

it also gives some of us the opportunity to count how many pairs of jeans we bought

 20!

I need another day to edit all the photos and I'll be back to show you the incredible amount of diverse REinventions created by this group of incredible individuals!

Makes ya proud!

When I was growing up in New Zealand
being part Maori was something you were secretly proud of.
It's not the case now.
Maori is acknowledged, embraced and celebrated
and there's nothing like a Haka to make this Maori girls' heart swell with pride.

Dreamin'

I love the cooler weather 'cause I hate 40+º heat
and I can wear my beloved Docs all day every day.

If I could try a pair of these on
I'd probably buy them.

Seriously they'd go with everything!

Sundance has another couple of styles that I could live with -

my bank account however dictates that I wont

... nice little dream though.
