Quick Trip South

we arrived...

and as always were made to feel right at home.

Rebecca & Stella make an awesome team...

talking to the sheep...

feeding the chickens...

ducks...

and Bantam chicks...

patting horses...

and riding elephants!

Ross always makes time for some time

in between making gates!

This little Honey Eater came down while we were enjoying some morning tea before our trip home.

~*~ the FASHION TALK ~*~

The first ever
'REinventing Fashion Talk'
in an Op Shop

drew quite a crowd...

I was so nervous
and trying hard not to think about talking about myself (so I didn't)

knowing that once I got started talking about the clothes...

they'd have to drag me out of there!

Eliza was a star...

as were Eleanor & Laine

and thankyou to everyone that came along thinking RE-inventing was worth finding out about
and to my RE-inventors for their support

I gathered from the response & interest shown after the talk that

no one left disappointed

least of all the Salvos Store
they sold as much in 2hrs as they would in a whole day!

It was worthwhile on many levels for many reasons
so we're doing it again!

Look what they've DONE!

they've used my photo in the March issue of J-Mag
they've stuck a head in my photo
and
they've not mentioned whose outfit and photo it is!

I figure I must be doing something right when I have people using my stuff to further their own cause, feather their own nests however I'm obviously missing something when I'm the one not getting the recognition.

Blind Hems & Invisible Zips

someone asked me yesterday what I was going to be doing today,
my reply,
"blind hems & invisible zips".

Is it just me or do they sound good together, like they belong to each other, as if one should naturally follow the other.
The more blogging I do the more I notice words and the combinations of.
Not sure if my words make much sense to others, doesn't matter much, as I think my mum and my sister are the only ones that read my blog and they think I'm nuts anyway!

Hi Mum x
Hi Mel x

Now I think about it, 'nuts' really is relative...
or
is it a relative!

Last Tuesday for the Term

What am I going to do now...
sew, sew, sew - without trying to sound toooo smug - for MYSELF!
I love my Tuesdays and my Thursdays and my Saturdays, but it really doesn't leave alot of time for my wardrobe - which is in dire need of refreshing and with these $1 sales on at the moment my studio is bursting with prospective RE-inventions!

A little pat on the back
... one day after the workshops went on sale to the general public my class is fully booked!
I look forward to seeing 4 of these smiling faces next term and if they're listening - HOMEWORK PLEASE!

Visitor

We had the privilege of Miss Millies company yesterday.

Kylie dropped her off in the avo and headed home for a spot of R&R for a couple of hours.

She came back smelling of peppermint & looking super-model-gorgeous in her beautiful envelope skirt (there are before and after images here).

My girls were besotted!
Surprisingly 'cause there was a lot of puking going on and Stella for one is known to gag at the smell of seafood.

I'd forgotten how much you can't get done with a baby around especially when they're as adorable as this!

I had in my mind that while Miss Millie was visiting I'd do some sewing - Ha Ha!

This little pile is in readiness for RE-inventing!
There are also some Blushouse skirts under the machine as I speak....
