Jug's On!

This happens...
at certain times of the day a familiar call rings out
across backyard fences
and from front yard verandas
"Jug's On"
the meaning is well known
time to down tools, pull up a pew, kick back and have a quick catch-up
before heading back into the day...

Spring has Sprung - Mulberries never make it inside.
Retail Therapy - Treasure Rescuing.
Barkcloth - Treasure Rescue destined for Fragment Bags.
Rain Rain Go Away - a good day to unpick.
House Hunting - trying to fit 23yrs of living in the same house into another is not going to be easy.

Making :: Liza Tops, Bunting & Quilts

The very best thing about conducting sewing workshops
is that I never know what projects my confident creative students
 have in mind

*
*
*
Bree is needing more Tops for her blossoming baby-belly

 and a slightly adjusted
Liza Top
was the perfect fit

*
*
*
Ruth only has the cutting into & washing of
her first Rag Quilt
for it to be finished

  and Sarah took her
Liberty Bunting home on Saturday

 returning on Sunday
to nearly finish her first
Rag Quilt

and the selection of patterns
Sarahs Dad has been sending her
will have to wait 'til next time...

and next time will be on

All Day Friday
10th & 17th October
9:30-2:30
$280 [2days]
$140 [1day]

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to join us.

Making :: Fragment Bags

it's been a while

it took ages to find
 an 'F' word
to best describe my latest creations

Fragment Bags

are combinations of vintage fabrics & needlepoints
with soft leather belts as straps

a constrasting reverse side
for some
making them two-bags-in-one

each fully lined
 with a pocket
and magnetic closure

they're all unique
never to be repeated

however if your favourite one has SOLD
you might find one which is similar
but-not-the-same

as I regularly up-date the Shop with more.

Fridays Sewing Snippets

They came

they sewed

and did all the other stuff
women do in a confined space
when armed with sewing machines,
piles of fabric & a thirst for creativity

they shared, laughed, ate

and sewed some more...

Ruths first Quilt
Inge brought her latest Jigsaw Jkt for show & tell
her next Jkt will be from this pattern using this bedspread
and the copied Lily Top is a firm favourite.
Rennae has a new favourite pattern and a growing fondness for 2-way stretch fabrics.

Next lot of Workshop dates are on the Website
