High Tea with Vicki at Bindaring
They were a labour of love.
I'm not sure I like them - I liked the idea of them more.
Working out in my head what was necessary in order to make a wearable garment ie. flat doilies along the inside leg, was the easy part.
I'm no artist and embellishing for the sake of it doesn't come naturally to me, so it meant I had to think hard about what I was doing which made my head hurt.
I love a challenge!

Victoria Beckham Size 28
Embellished (securely stitched) with vintage lace & embroidered Doilies
Lace Doily printing in pink & white
Denim cut-away around the hem to reveal stitched Doily hem edge.
As I was attempting to 'play' with the jeans I had a REinvention ticking away in the back of my mind - more cut & paste than lick & stick.
The High Tea Jacket was a more comfortable design process for me.

Winter Favourites
I'm not sure if I prefer cold temps to the heat because I can start layering

because I get to wear my Doc's again.

I have them in this style in black also, which pretty much is the extent of my winter shoe collection - I lie, I have more however these get thrashed
and why not, they're the MOST comfortable footwear I have ever owned in my life.Some days I'm on my feet from 7am - 9pm and it's not until I go to take them off at the end of the day that I remember I had them on!

Tea with Vicki
I was asked to embellish a pair of Jeans for an auction.
I finished them over the weekend and because the powers that be haven't seen them yet I think it best I only show you a little.

As a rule I don't make anything for the sake of making it and in fact it's a philosophy I ram down students throats.Imagine my surprise when I discovered how much I enjoyed the process, once I'd decided in which direction I was going.
