Tying up loose ends before flying to Melbourne this avo
and I'm nearly organised enough to shut the lid on my suitcase!
The last few days have been a flurry of
cooking & freezing meals so I know there's no excuse for starvation
they all have clean clothes so no excuse for not having anything to wear
and pick-ups & drop-offs are organised so no one misses out or is late.
I've also made time to finish some sewing & felting jobs in time for the trip
because it's not just my Birthday we're celebrating
.... I can show you what they'll be getting
because they'll have got it before they see this post

and I'll leave you with a glimpse of the red Turkey Feather hanging off the side of my my new Do
because I'm not sure it will last the week I'm away
and I'd never be able to explain it on my return.
Reminds me when we used to hide a braid of embroidery floss in our hair and then wrap other colours around and maybe a bead or bell on the bottom so you would just get a peek every now and then. I like it because it is a bit unexpected and that is what you are - unique.
ReplyDeleteWell....yes it is different that's for sure! Is it a real feather or a segment of hair that has been dyed red? pls 'scuse my ignorance on these matters Jody! :))) It's a lovely do though. So, so lovin' those nuno felted collars!! Gorgeous. I'd love to learn to make those. :) Have a ball! and don't be too good. :)))) x
