Before I snuck off to visit Regina last week
and with a few hours up my sleeve on the morning of departure
I gave myself a challenge
make 2 Jumper Wraps for the trip
and if it hadn't been for the need
to eat, shower & pack for the trip
I'd have finished them both
as it was my 7kg luggage allowance was straining under the pressure
and it would have meant choosing between the hairdryer and a wrap
- no competition!
The technique used to create every Jumper Wrap
is the same
and every Jumper Wrap that is created
is different
I'd never have thought I'd wear a red 'knitted dress'
but there you go
never.say.never
I love it
the other one
is a favourite
and not just because it's green
it's going to go with everything in my wardrobe
and while I'm on a roll
with momentum fired up
with momentum fired up
I've started another...
Love that green one, it will go with everything!
ReplyDeleteAny chance of a few more instructions on how you made these? I love what you do and being in NZ cannot come to a class so would love some more detail. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteIt's all going in the book.
DeleteGorgeous Jody! I don't wear a lot of red myself but would happily don that one! But yes the green would be my fav. Shame it isn't dress length too. Great shade of green. I so want to learn how to make these! I had a go when you put up the first ones that weren't sewn up like these or had the bias binding, but wasn't happy with the way it turned out. just looked like a bit of a blanket wrapped around me! Obviously I need to practise more! lol. Did you teach these in your workshops? When you move will you still be holding workshops? ♥
ReplyDeleteThey can be a bit tricky Pam and like anything new it's helpful if someone can show you…. and then of course practice makes perfect.
ReplyDeleteFunny you should ask about teaching the Jumper Wrap technique in workshops - I agonise over it every winter due to some unscrupulous people who've committed to a workshop in order to learn the technique so they can use it in their own workshops. This is the only REinvent I wont allow photos of and I ask that people respect that I own copyright on the design so the knowledge is for personal use….yukky but necessary.
In answer to your question about workshops continuing - they will however in a different format, the move is going to mean a few changes.
Love the jumper wraps, I'm sorry and it saddens me to hear that people try to teach your warp and pass it off as their own!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit late catching up but I'm glad you had a great time in Melbourne with your bestie.
Have a great week, gosh the weeks are whizzing by! Mxx
