Thankyou everyone for the
30 Mannequin name suggestions that came through via fb, email & the blog
I like names that have a story to tell
& when mentioned keep stories alive
names, like smells
evoke certain memories
some pleasant, some not
names which reminded of a pet dog, a nasty kid from school or a least favourite relative

Perfect name! Hello Sally, I am very please to meet you
ReplyDeleteHi Sal, love your new dress!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that Sally's name came from Judith. When I was taking sewing in school in Canada, when dinosaurs still walked the earth, the dress forms were always called "Judy". I don't know why. Maybe you've already had this discussion.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting, and when you take into account all the variables including how close 'Judy' looks to 'Jody' it's bordering on spooky...and helps to confirm the right name was chosen. x
DeleteSally is a perfect name and I love your new dress. x
ReplyDeleteAunt Sally looks great in your newest creation! That's some fabulously loud fabric. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the frock ...... nice colour and love Sally
ReplyDeleteWelcome Sally - you are looking great in your new frock and we look forward to seeing you twirl your stuff :)
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't she the little cutie in the Dick and Jane series? Hello Sally and welcome to the real world of change. Cherrie
