Most people don't name their finished sewing projects
I do
how else would they know when to come when I call them
I am so joking
but you know what I mean
I can't be trying to explain a garment by referring to it as;
"you know, the reddish floral frock with pinks,
the one where I added bits of a silk shirt to the top & bottom,
the first one I made in January 2013"
Some names come easily
'pop' there they are - a garment can have a name before I've even started
and then as is the case with this my new favourite frock
a name eludes me
what do you think
got any ideas
can you help?
"fly outside the lines"
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to sewing some new creations myself!
Happy New year..
resolutions...in keeping with the new year
ReplyDeletewhat about 'POP' i love it will be making one real soon......
ReplyDeleteHummm.. reminds me of the Sydney Fireworks display this year - maybe 'Firework/s'. Whatever is decided, it certainly is one hell-of-a-dress. Beautiful :-)
ReplyDeleteIt does really look like fireworks...the colour is gorgeous....I am sure you will decide on the perfect name and will wear it with style. xx Is that one of your patterns????
ReplyDeleteI was thinking 'Summer' it looks the perfect frock for a hot summers day. Hey Jodi found a great top at the Op shop yesterday slightly too small so today going to cut it up and make a pattern.......will post the outcome soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat frock! I like POP too :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous dress. The print reminds me of fireworks, so my suggestion for a name is to call it the Happy New Year Dress
ReplyDeleteI've left a comment on FB Jody, which you've probably seen but I'll leave it here too. Watermelon Burst/Starburst.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour and the design. Looks soooo comfy and cool. x
