Tresillian Workshop - The Last Day

It's been over 3yrs
since I first started teaching at Tresillian

both REinventing & Learn to Sew workshops

today was my last day

a little bitter sweet
my wonderfully loyal & talented group of Thursday girls did me proud

with some wearing completed outfits

Rosie

 and others completing their projects

Charlotte
Gill
Gill

as we carried on per usual
enjoying each others company chatting over our morning tea & coffee

Gill & Sue

before heading into the Cafe
for lunch & sort-of-secret-Santa gift giving

Charlotte & Sally

Rosie realising the wrapping paper on her present could be a great pattern for trousers.

it was especially special & very fitting
that two of my students who were there at the beginning also shared the end.

Elfrida & Sue [have been regular participants since day one] with Louise.
The brief for present buying was

1 Christmas themed item, 1 handmade item & 1 sewing related item

I did very well

exceptionally well

as the girls also collectively presented me with a thankyou gift

which I enjoyed as soon as I got home and could put my feet up.

The decision to let Tresillian go was not easy
change never is
however I've learnt over the years that when something feels right
it usually is

... onwards & upwards!

  1. Jody, you are an expert in "change". I have great memories of the several classes I did with you at Tressilian. Just wanted to let you know I am still reinventing and getting adventurous. As you always said, you can't make a mistake. If so it gives the opportunity to be even more creative. I must say I blame you that I gather more and more stuff, how can I keep my sewing room tidy????
    Have a nice break, Maud
