There are so many reasons to Blog
and one of my favourite reasons is the cataloging of stuff,
with the ability to press a button and return to moments that occurred years before,
like this morning,
when I saw this blog post from 2yrs ago.
A bit like one of those books where you open it randomly
and take on board the saying or quote that page is offering,
this post seemed relevant & poignant for someone special whose going through a rough patch at the moment.
I was about to copy & paste it into an email to her
but I know she reads the blog
so thought I'd share with everyone
and let her know that she's one of my 'pins' as I hope I am hers....
This weeks JaM involves you sharing a favourite post from the past -
if not yours maybe someone elses
~ a moment that stopped you, made you think, coloured your world differently ~
You never know your moment could be someone elses new favourite.
I've too many favourites of my own
(biased I guess)
however the one that stands alone as having coloured my world differently
is the Giant Cup Cake vlog Eden did.

Eden makes me laugh at myself
and now in my 50th year I'm acutely aware of the fact
life's way too short & a tad too hard (at times)
not to take a little time, once in a while to laugh at yourself.

Lets share ~ Linky is below
Loved it all sooo much Jody! Thanks so much for putting it up. :)
ReplyDeleteI smiled all the way through the cupcake and 'felt' your post from 2009.
Much like yourself, in my 50's, I've become very aware of the shortness and sometimes battle-like way that life has to be led. Fortunately I'm able often to laugh at myself. Shame that some around me find that a hard thing to do with themselves.
Not sure if I'll join in with the meme this week, as I'm racking the feeble brain for a fab blog post and haven't as yet come up with one! :)) x
Interesting theme this week Jody, you certainly make us think! The Cupcake post made me smile and your post is so true.
