Cure-All

I've just discovered the best cure for a self inflicted headache is my comfort food!
Heinz Tomato Soup with a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle of parsley
- what's yours?

If I'd had my wits about I'd have grabbed a loaf of fresh bread from the local Growers Market this morning where we had Fathers Day breaky.
If it wasn't for a workshop this afternoon I'd probably not be moving very far from my sunny spot and new mag.

A fresh juice from the fruit shop near my work, beetroot, carrot, apple, lemon, orange and watermelon and GINGER!! they skewer three chunks of fruit on the straw which is soopa cute, yesterday it was watermelon, orange and pineapple and the juice is an amazing beetrooty colour! nothing nourishes your body more than that
! oh and of course Frankie xx
speaking of beetroot, i cooked some beetroot last night and with the left over juice i chucked in some salt and a few doileys, they looked uper lovely in the water, a sort of coraline colour but washed out in the rinse!! i did a pot with some coffee and beetjuice in it which was a little more successful but still......... ???? any dyeing suggestions???

  4. Anon - some Spelt Toast with my soup would definately have helped.

Kapinny - all is well with the world when you have Frankie in front of you!

Kelly - I don't drink enough juice or water. Beetroot in my juice reminds me of travels thru India - YUM!
You give me more credit than I deserve as I know very little about dying however I found this exert which I found helpful & think you might too -
'I gave up on dying. I have now found out that beetroot can not be fixed with any mordant. It is not a proper dye, it’s just a stain. The only thing it dyes well is food and your piss, which can be dyed constantly red with just three jars of pickled beetroot a week.'
