A Theme

I've noticed over the years that there's a theme that usually runs through my birthday cards, this year it was the presents I received.
My gifts were specifically meant for me, no-one had bought anything for the sake of it, my personality had played a role in their decisions
and thank the lord
not a box of chocolates in sight!
I hadn't realised how many tea towels I owned until Stella decided to iron them.
The biggest surprise was this that Dan commissioned for me.
Made by a very clever man in Melbourne.

  4. Kelly - it was noticeable the effort that everyone went to, no-one more than the man I've shared the last 23yrs with. He's improved vastly since the early days when for one B'day he gave me pegs & wooden spoons!

Looking forward to seeing the skirt.

  5. Shula - I do like a tea towel. These were given to me by the daughters however were bought by Dan on a road trip to Albany a few weeks ago, along with the old stitched card sewing box - he really out did himself this year!

The crochet cardys came from a dear friend in Victoria. They were crocheted by hand in the 70's by Chinese people.
