2015 - No Pain No Gain

If I'm going to write at least one post this year
 it has to be now

and

it has to be an honest account of a year I am going to be very glad to see the back of

it's been a hard year
by far the most challenging

difficult to see positives after
that Building Development Plan A wasn't going to work
and all those months/weeks/days/hours of wading through the World of Men
needed to make way for Plan B and a whole lot more wading
and there was the frustration of no head space for creative pursuits after
lifting the veil of secrecy from long held secrets
left me exposed & vulnerable
causing some relationships of a lifetime to disappear
all while accepting that parenting a child with mental health issues stretches you
into a different shape
then add in getting older where my body literally is a different shape
made for a particulaly shitty year

so here I am reflecting on the last day of 2015

with so much to be grateful for

no one died
the truth really does set you free
 yoga & tea
there's new & diverse REinventing directions waiting to hit the ground
I've a 90yr old sewing machine to play with
and I know who loves me

***
thank you for hanging in there
the bit of sharing I've done on IG & FB meant I never quite lost sight of the 'why'
and with 2016 full of promise I'm looking forward to sharing the where & how

onward & upward!

  1. 2016 may well still be challenging,
but at least - struggle is character building ( ha!)
and at best - its damned good experience for tackling the next bloody hurdle!
Wishing you onwards and upwards : )
