11 Gates and 1 Dog

We like a gate & now have 11 of them.
Some are more neccessary than others.
 (from the outside world)
(to the veges)

(to the chooks & mulberrys)

(to frontyard - originally to keep kids in)

(will be from backyard to house when fixed in position)

Recently we felt it necessary to add 2 more because of a complaint made against Rosie by a member of the public (that by the way was not what I originally called him in this post).
 (driveway)

 (front yard)

Actually not a bad thing as I've always wanted a scrolly gate in this position and as long as Rosie gets her bunny-hunting walk twice a day she's a very happy well disciplined, friendly & intelligent watchdog-in-training who we all love to bits.

The old and the new

There's been so many new things happening in our lives during the last few weeks
that I'm grateful when reminded of some of the old constants.
It's my children that often are the cause of reflection
and it was while watching Eliza play with Rosie that I had a glimpse of what is,
what always has been
and for as long as they both have air in their lungs,
will always be.

Their love for each other, the connection they have is a constant beautiful thing.

Then there's Stella discovering a whole new world on her doorstep
and that she can not only can she talk under water
but she can see too!

Smart Girl + Smart Dog =

entertaining view from my studio window!

All I could hear was "good girl Rosie", "aren't you a clever girl", "you're so cute" - this went on for about 3o mins before Stella ran out of treats and Rosie got bored.

I really should be sewing - in fact I am.
One project is nearly finished.
I want it ready for class tomorrow so I'd better get off this darn computer and stop looking out the window...
